Thanks to their expertise, we've seen significant cost savings and improved performance across the board. We’re thrilled with the results and will definitely be relying on 8 West for regular Well-Architected Reviews moving forward.” **Dan O'Donaghue, CEO, Crop SRM** ## FAQs ![](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/SVG_animations/Circle.svg) - ### Q1: Which cloud platforms do you support? Primarily AWS, with experience across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. We choose architecture around your needs rather than a preferred platform. - ### Q2: How does 8 West approach cloud migration? Assessment first: architecture, dependencies and risk. We then define a migration plan designed to minimise downtime and land on a fit-for-purpose target architecture. - ### Q3: What is an AWS Well-Architected Review? A structured assessment of your workloads against all six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. You receive identified risks, inefficiencies and a prioritised remediation roadmap, delivered at a fixed price. - ### Q4: How long does cloud transformation take? Scope and complexity determine the timeline. The usual starting point is a fixed-price Impact Engagement of two to six weeks that defines your current state and transformation roadmap, so the wider programme starts with evidence. - ### Q5: Can you reduce cloud costs through FinOps? Yes. Our cloud cost optimisation and FinOps work identifies over-provisioned resources, architecture inefficiencies and safe right-sizing opportunities, so you see the savings before committing to changes. - ### Q6: Do you support hybrid and on-premises environments? Yes. We design for cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments based on your operational and regulatory requirements. Full cloud is not always the right answer, and we will say so. ## Our Other Services ![Red line sketch](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/SVG_animations/Swipe%20Medium.svg) ![8 West Consulting sketch of a left bracket](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/SVG_animations/Bracket.svg) ### Let’s Realise Your Vision Together ![8 West Consulting sketch of a right bracket](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/SVG_animations/Bracket.svg) Start your journey today with a no-obligation consultation to explore how **8 West** can drive your digital transformation. #### 8 WEST CONSULTING HEADQUARTERS ![telephone icon](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/8-West-Consulting-website-icon-telephone.png) [+353 21 492 5100](tel:+353214925100) ![email icon](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/8-West-Consulting-website-icon-email.png) [info@8west.ie](mailto:info@8west.ie) ![location pin icon](https://8west.ie/hubfs/SEO_optimized_media/8-West-Consulting-website-icon-location-pin.png) [Building 1, University Technology Centre, Curraheen Road, Cork, T12 AY18, Ireland](https://www.google.com/maps/place/8+West+Consulting/@51.8742556,-8.5436426,17z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x48448e1bcf549e5b:0x5cb764b948c334f!8m2!3d51.8742556!4d-8.5410677!16s%2Fg%2F1tjrpcvx?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDMyMy4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D) [![8west\_full\_logo](https://8west.ie/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported%20images/logos/8west_full_logo.png?width=260&height=61&name=8west_full_logo.png "8west_full_logo")](https://www.8west.ie?hsLang=ie) -
